Greg Jones to Head Southern Indiana Development Commission
LOOGOOTEE - Greg Jones, the development specialist for the Southern Indiana Development Commission, was hired as executive director of the SIDC. Jones assumes the role being vacated by Jo Arthur. She retired Aug. 1.
Jones has worked for the SIDC for more than five years and has a professional degree from Ball State University's College of Architecture and Planning in urban and region planning and a bachelor's degree in political science.
Jones, according to a press release, looks forward to continuing the strong community and economic development efforts of the SIDC.
The SIDC is an economic development district that serves Daviess, Greene, Knox, Lawrence and Martin counties with a variety of services including: housing rehabilitation, rural transportation, homeland security, Brownfield redevelopment, grant services, and developing and administering Community Focus Fund grants.
